Leadership and Organisation Development has always been central in my many roles as an HR professional. This particular lens expanded as I grew as a leader. I took the chance to train as a coach and spent a year as part of an in-house coaching team before moving back into the business.

In parallel, I regularly teach dance to teens. I adapted my approach and was amazed by the impact of them managing their mindsets and moving dancers to performers.

Having worked with diverse businesses, countries and cultures, the ‘golden thread’ for me has been collaborating with people who are curious and keen to progress. Helping facilitate that is hugely fulfilling. Whatever your personal ambition or purpose, partnering to create awareness and action is my prime motivation.

Professional History

With nearly 30 years’ experience at GlaxoSmithKline pharmaceuticals, Jo worked with a variety of businesses and geographies as a senior HR professional. Partnering both Pharmaceutical and Consumer Healthcare on a global basis throughout significant change.

The majority of her global HR experience was  in:

  • Business transformation through leading, embedding and optimising change and transformation
  • Establishing a high performance Culture including cross cultural and remote leadership and teams
  • Encouraging a growth mindset and challenging agility in ways of working
  • Applying a systemic approach to Equality, Inclusion and Diversity within leadership and teams
  • Talent management, succession planning and targeted development
